Because you are using 5.5" twin turrets, you could replace those with the twin 5.1" on a one for one basis. Remove the other casemate 5.5". Upgrade the deck armour. Rebuild the bow with a more Dunkerquish flared bow. Rebuild the bridge area (if you had some money to spare). The use of the 5.1" dual...

I like the design Dilandu, looks like a mini-French version of a Queen Elizabeth class battleship. It would certainly have needed that extra 15-16 meters of length to help it achieve its 24 knot speed. Yes, that was exactly the idea - somethin in lines of "cheap version of QE for Mediterranean". An...

Hello! I'm here with some new ship: http://i.imgur.com/ejjZmKy.png The disastrous battle of Scarborough , (16 december, 1914), when the six superdreadnoughts of Warrender squadron were taken by surprise and destroyed by the main forces of Hochseeflotte, not only damaged the reputation of Royal Navy,...

Good work! But, In order to overcome this inspiration from the 1890 Brandenburg-class and earlier Colossus-class 1882, with the idea of adding a centre 12" mount to get 6 12" guns. The idea isn't workable. Simply speaking - six 12" isn't going to make ship a dreadnought. Their actual volume of fire ...

I didn't "alter" the drawning; the hull is mine, after all. I used a lot of parts of WhyMe drawnings, as artillery mounts - eidted and elongated - as well as the other components. So, I presume that the line of BB1987/WhyMe/Dilandu would work either?

Dilandu: are you the original artist of this? I believe it's BB1987, so what you're crediting is implying now is that you drew this first, then BB1987 modified it and next WhyMe did something about it! Do you see the dilemma? No, technically, it's WhyMe name that has to go first, Yuubari was drawn ...

8 4x2 155mm (6 2x2+2x1 140mm) very big increase IMO They are 145 mm. Well, according to NavWeaps, the two-gun turret of "Yubari" weighted a 49 tonn, and single mount - about 20 tonn. So, if this data is reliable, than the "Yubari" main guns weighted about 49+49+20+20=138 tons, and the "Javary" main...

Just checked the schemathics on the PofileMorskie book about Yuubari, the 140mm turrets are more akin to the 5/38 ones of the USN, there is no true barbette, only ammunition hoist. so they are technically more an (enclosed) "deck and hoist" mount than a proper "turret on barbette". Didn't know that...
