I personally do not see the issue with the 4.7'' mount being almost identical to the 4.5'' one. The concept of the gun mount was basically the same, and the calibre difference is minimal (0.2 inches, or 6mm). The IJN rearmed its older heavy cruisers in the 30s replacing 200mm (7.9'') guns with 203mm...

So none of them get built? D: Shame because they really look the part and would've liked to see late refits. Unfortunately yes. Maybe I'm rigging myself between too many restrictions, but I do try to stick within the footprint of my AU with nearly everything I'm drawing that it is not real life. Th...

Great job BB1987. Are you going to complete the turbine Elations and military variants as well? There are quite a lot of undeveloped turboprop variants for the Constellations. If I do get hold of decent sources I might try my hand on them. For the military versions I'm more inclined to leave the ho...

Premise. Both Cadaric and Lazer_one had previously drawn the Lockheed Constellation, and my first intent was use one of the two versions to complete the Constellation/super Constellation/Starliner lineage. I did notice something off tough. Lazer's SuperConnie had the distinct long-nose of those fitt...

AS an extra trivia on the matter. I got the mix for Kure gray from the Janus Skulsky books on the Cruiser Takao and IJN Fuso around the same time I switched from the standard shipbucket red to the IJN red for underwater paint. When I converted it into SB I ended up with a shade a tad darker than the...

Very nice display Shigure, all your ships have very elegant lines. I sometimes get the feeling tat they look a decade too modern for the year they are depicted (might be those sterns! :D ), but that may as well just being a trait of your AU, and it is not that of a big issue to me.
