Roger, I appreciate the advice! I think what I'll do is start re-working the hull and do the rigging over from scratch. I wasn't aware that the mast went all the way down to the keel, although in retrospect that does make a lot of sense (Obviously they don't bolt it down to the deck, duh! ) On...

Alright, I've completed my sloop which corresponds to the Springsharp stats above. She would be designated as a three-masted screw sloop, or more accurately a central battery sloop. Her main armament is two 8" muzzle-loaders; her main role being as a quick and well-armed raider, however, with her lo...

Alright, can anyone have a brief once-over of this for me and point out any glaring errors before I start working out how to draw this ship? It would be much appreciated. Colo, just replace both of those air search radars with an SX and it'll look better. Erik_t, I'm pretty sure it would have been very interesting.

On another note, am I the only sane person on this thread?
I think you might be missing the joke, friend. ;)

Colosseum, have you considered a Galveston -class refit-type scenario? I understand that aesthetically you like to have North Point conform to an older style rather than ultra-modern, but I've always liked the hybrid kind of look between old and new that the Galveston s had after their refits in the...

All in all, a very fine update of a very good looking warship! I was hoping that you might decide to update that drawing one of these days. I do have one small nitpick to make though, I believe that almost all MARCOM/RCN surface vessels were repainted with the blue antifouling paint from 2003 onward...
