I do hate to mention it then, but I can't for the life of me spot the 4x6pd saluting guns.

Howdy David,
Great drawing.
Only thing I can see is that you have a 3" outboard of the boat stack on the overhead which does not show on the side drawing. That would give the ship 6x3" whereas your stats say 4x3".

I am not a good person to ask about Spring Sharp. I do not like the program at all. I feel it takes away peoples intelligence. By that I mean the ability to think for yourself. To actually go out and do by 'hand' the accruing of resources and references, from reading books, hunting online for obscur...

You are doing a wonderful job of drawing the Dutch subs, Alex. That you have chosen to do these in FD scale is awesome in itself and put the rest of us to shame. I did look at drawing the HMS Ariadne minelayer in FD as I have some good drawings, but I just got lost in the details and gave up. So man...

I like it. Couple of points, that forebridge superstructure has added a lot of topweight to the ship. To balance it out, by 1940-41 you would probably have removed the torpedo tubes to help compensate. That was something all of the older cruisers had a problem with. All the additional electronics an...

pepembr_mb You are quite welcome to play around with shading - that is what the "Non-Shipbucket" part of the forum is for. If you want to have your drawings in either the Real-Life or Never-Were sections of Shipbucket then you are obliged to follow the Shipbucket drawing rules. No exceptions. When s...

That's a bit mean, you have sunk the poor old Virginia before you have even drawn it. With 15" guns and a super-dreadnought, compared to the Union ships, if Virginia is in anyway faster and better armoured than the Union ships, it would probably create even more mayhem than what you have given it. "...

Howdy DG,

That Emden drawing you reference is the drawing I used as the basis for the German 'Medium' cruiser drawings I did awhile back.
