If they'd kept Tiger around as the training ship instead of Iron Duke then remilitarized her as war approached (pointless for Iron Duke but potentially useful with the much faster Tiger), the ammunition problem could be averted by adapting the turrets to carry the same 14" guns as the King George V ...

Tiger reminds me of Kongou That is because the Japanese Kongo class were based on the design of HMS Tiger, and as the first of the class was built in Britain, by Vickers Armstrong at Barrow.
