I forgot to mention, the 14in the KGVs were I think buit-up guns and might not have been accomodated in the old turrets, while the Canada's were wire-bound and would be a better fit.

Remember the Canada already had 14 inch guns in virtually the same turret. In any case there would have been plenty of 13.5 in ammo around after WW1, including plenty of the excellent 'Greenboy' projectiles, hopefully which would have already well distributed throughout the empire. I must admit that the suppression of the aft 4 inch guns did not make a lot of sense, especially in view of the fact that a 4 inch secondary armament was already viewed as inadequete against the new larger German destroyers. Brilliant work GD! In 1914-15 the KGV class had 3 inch AA guns installed on the Quarterdecks. In 1915-16 the torpedo nets were removed.
