Wow! I can actually remember seeing an artist's impression of this in a defence magazine when I was University round about 74/75. Why do people think none were ever built - too small for the big navies and too big for the little ones? Or is it just the low hit ratio of private designs?

You'll have to tell us about HMS Medea because I was only aware of M33 and Caroline.

Also I believe that the Turkish minelayer, the Nurset(?) which laid the mines which sank so many ships at the Dardenelles still exists, albeit with drastically modified topsides.
