Just out of curiosity: why each group of aircraft is represented by 5 identical (except small tail number) aircraft (or 3 P-51 + 2 P-47 in case of 7th TFS, and of course there are special markings on leading craft in case of T-33 and T-6)? Typical combat squadron has/had much more aircraft - 12, 16...

I think that yes. I mean, that the aim is to have visually all the barrels (mm more, mm less) of similar caliber, with the same numbers of pixels wide. Cheers.
