Early in 1935 the Holland Amerika Lijn (HAL) started to work on the design of an new passenger liner. This ship would have to become the new HAL flagship, a 36000 registerton ship with space for 1250 passengers. In a time of economical issues in the Netherlands, building this ship could mean the dif...

Hey Psilander, looking quite nice, but I have a few comments, suggestions and questions which might improve the vessel a bit ;) - I think there are updated NH-90 drawings available. - The I-mast 400 is not capable to control ASTER 15, let alone 30. An I-mast would be capable of doing the guidance fo...

Much better already! but there is still some work to do for these to be perfect. A few comments: - You seem to lack black outlines on quite a few windows, and you have at least 2 colours for your windows. - While you have shaded your overhanging stern, the just as big or bigger overhangs at the bow ...

The work you describe would require a proper shipyard though! Definitely an drydock, which were much rarer at the time then ramps to launch new ships from. That said, you do not increase stability by increasing the length, but mostly by increasing the beam, the so called bulging is an perfect exampl...

Ro-Po, as far as I can see, this 'move' is not an punishment. There are other people working on the edge of the sb style, such as psilander for example. The shipbucket forums are set up the same way as the main site: if the works do not fit the main site, they do not belong in that section of the fo...

Ro-Po Max has stated in the Discord (when asked about these things) that he has no interest in his work being uploaded, but instead make the best possible work (IIRC) and he deviates from the standard sb rules on black outlines, shading and template for that reason.

Interesting! it does not follow the original plans exactly, right? (the shape and dimensions of the flight deck seem to differ, if I see it correctly)

That was exactly why I fitted the SPW-2, similar to how it seems to have been proposed for the Scheme 59 ships (SPW-2 was not listed especially, but after a bit of research on Talos development I found out it would not be unlikely to have been kept into this development) SPS-33B in this system was u...

With the ordering of the first 2 Typhon armed ships, the California class DLGN fitted with the AN/SPG-59, the new Typhon missile system was officially going to enter service in the USN. The complexity and cost of these ships however, was known to be considerable even in the early design stage. Not i...
