First let me say, As someone who does 3D its good to see more 3D stuff :-) Some of the features that will make Zumwalt successful as a Land Attack Destroyer won't translate well to the frigate mission set. The design looks cool, but it's mostly cosmetic and I dont think it adds anything to the comba...

Thanks. I will start cutting in the intakes and exhausts probably next week. My schedule has been hectic the last 5 weeks. The placement of the boat deck is giving me the most worry at the moment. I am hopeful it will work out.

She is looking pretty cool. It looks like you have 2 LM-2500 GTMs and 2 Allison 501 GTGs. Do you have 1 GTM geared to its own shaft? Or are they booth on 1 MRG that's geared to the individual shafts? I think the 1MRG option would give you the most bang for your buck. You can probably substitute the ...

The main question is why would you want to do that? What mission or capability would the aircraft provide that is not better provided by organic submarine capabilities? If you wanted a recoverable strike platform, the carrier can provide that better. If you wanted some kind of ISR capability you'd h...

I would raise the bridge maybe 250 ft so that you can have Line of sight clearance of the Bow for your bridge watch standers.

The U.S. Navy was planning on using the AN/AQS-22 dipping SONAR on a RIB for LCS. It doesnt have to remain still, the algorithims for ownship doppler nullification have existed for decades. I mentioned AQS-22 because its already in the supply system for U.S. Navy, and it's COTS processing and other ...

I would consider adding an AN/AQS-22 Dipping sonar from the SH-60R modified for shipboard use. The processing and power would perform well in littoral environments and you could just pull it up on deck when you need to reposition or do any other warfare mission.
