I was thinking of making it sort two secondary directors on the bridge, like such (if viewed from the front) ---A--- S-M-S Secondaries, Main and the Air search (apparently) japanese-looking radar, could this setup work? I think it could, but i also think is better to place the main guns director hi...

1- yes. 2- you have ten turrets for secondaries, USS Iowa had the same number and sported 4 directors for secondaries (1 on top of the brige, 2 at either side of the front funnel (thus in your drawing just one will be seen), and one in the aft part of the superstructure; to better place your aft one...

The main plan is 1917/1918, then post 1936 refit (either 1939, 1941 or 1942 depends on wich source i found is the best), and 1944/1945 (hybrid) and, is anyone in possession of this drawing in full view? http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/4056/wm03.jpg it would be the perfect one for the pre-conversi...

Indeed, originally Ise and Hyuga where supposed to be the third and fourth units of the Fuso class but their project was revised to improve the shortcomings of the preceding units, like the akward position of main battery wich forced to split powerplants between the main guns barbettes and the place...

if the cruiser is built in the 90's you could switch all those twin arm launchers with VLS
