Depends entirely on how much capability they can crowbar into 250 million, and if the other shipyards are as big a ripoff merchant as BAES is. Plus their plan to buy a bunch of ships with the intention of selling them onto other navies and then order a second batch for the RN seems a little sketchy...

it will likely be Glasgow Belfast Coventry London Manchester Cardiff Sheffield and when the Type 31 is inevitably axed in two years time and about 2 billion in wasted taxpayer funds in favour of 3-4 more GP T26s Newcastle Birmingham Southampton Would that be an issue with the current Belfast?

yes will be interesting to see what the other 7 names are. I hope each of the home countries is represented. There is petitions for Plymouth. But it's tricky Northern Ireland has only 5 Cities Armagh, Belfast, Lisburn, Newry and Londonderry personally would like the rules bent a bit and HMS Antrim ...

Very cool! Don't know, however, if Ireland has the manpower or funding for SSK's though. If there was a NATO standard spending then the budget would be much more health. Though to be fair in the 80's/90's both the budget and population wouldn't be close to being able to sustain it. Ireland has no n...

Not sure I'd want to be out in one of them off NI given the mininium spec the Irish Navy has for those areas to be honest.

For the flag, I'd say if you are keeping the Red Cross it should be the St Patrick Saltire rather than one you have at the moment, or go with Harp on green which was the historical flag in use by Irish ships during the 18th and 19th century.

Sounds good, but the big question is, where is Ireland supposed to get the money to pay for your AU Navy. Just as a real life point.
