Internal weapons bays are not necessary for RCS reduction measures. JAS 24A is a knockoff of ATF because USians are too protectionist to export F-22, and the only external bays it has are FAST packs which I can't be arsed to draw. It uses the same external, semi-conformal hardpoints as F-15A/C/E, wi...

https://www.dropbox.com/s/ldssddpsrdthykd/AIM-7.png?raw=1 The Sparrow family has a long history within NATO armies, beginning as a post-war American development alongside the Sidewinder. As of 2014, it remains the primary BVRAAM of NATO air forces, in various guises. The simplicity and ease of cons...

ISINGLASS was the actual SR-71 replacement. XLR-129 was almost used for the Space Shuttle. The actual aircraft was going to be launched from a B-52 though, carried underwing. There were proposals to drop it out the back of a C-5 or C-141, but they were considered silly. No one seriously considered ...

It is a work in progress. I was kindly given DLR's previous work on the F-35. When I am happy with the accuracy of the finished article it will be posted. Some may consider it impolite to say 'hurry up or I will do it' , which you have effectively just done. But, you can do whatever you like. You h...

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/65329749/Gallaplanes/Isinglass.png I'll write something later. I said I would: Project 4092/Glimmer/ISINGLASS was conceived as early as 1966 as a future replacement BDA aircraft for the NATO/Allied Atomic Force (the air-sea evolution of the Kennedy administration...

SR-71 is a result of having extremely similar speed and altitude requirements to A-12. I doubt that without A-12, SR-71 would look radically different given the technology at the time.

I do not find the concept of a long-ranged SR-71 based interceptor strange, since it was done in real life. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6c/YF-12A.jpg http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/b4/AIM-47.jpg/320px-AIM-47.jpg A-12 isn't SR-71 but yes it's the same idea....
