At risk of going off-topic, the US Navy even had two paddle-wheeled (!!!!) aircraft carriers in WW2. It steamed about Lake Michigan for pilot training.

I don't know what was the original proposal, but the main search radar in the CGI image looks an awful lot like a TRS-4D, not the SMART-S which you've used.

I'm not sure how operationally suitable such a conversion would be, but it would certainly be a cheap and cheerful short-term platform for training and doctrine development while a larger, more expensive conversion or new-build was at the docks. And as someone whose megalomania prevents me from exec...

Especially within the context of the beginner section, it would be helpful to know what you've changed. For example, the LHA-8 drawing is pretty busy. What comments should we be giving you, and what comments should we be giving the original author?

The truss structures supporting the aircraft cranes are sort of interesting.

There's an inconsistency in the secondaries--in the top view the middle mounts have barrels overhanging the outer mounts, while they do not interfere in the side view.

It is remarkable how abrasive some people can be. Maybe ban all of the obnoxious smileys and force everyone to communicate like an adult (or see if they're able).

David, it's quite an attractive rendition, although you've got some stray purple masking color in the top view in the secondary battery.

An excellent rendition. May I ask what is your source for the below-the-waterline details? I find the location of the roll stabilizers to be surprisingly high, and the shape of the sonar dome also seems a little strange (very deep for its length).
