I stand corrected on the guns. and that hull seems to have an really full hull then.... and they didn't add the screw axisses. I find it weird they include the entire stern on an deck that doesn't include that, but ok, if you are certain..... No it’s just a standard hull. Like most modern ships it ...

Actually I think I see the problem MihoshiK is referring to. On some of the CGNs the left side of the Mk 13 launcher arm has the proper round trunion support but on some it has a few un-connected lines that don't mean anything. Looks like half of the right side trunion support has been cut in half. ...

that deck view is of the wrong deck, IIRC. it is at least one deck higher then the deck you think it is. Nope that is the no. 4 deck which is the lowest except the bottom of the hull. I’ve got the original deck plans right in front of me of the DDL and I haven’t made such a simple mistake. http://i...

Turrethead, Do you know the Junior General site?(http://www.juniorgeneral.org), If you are thinking of making miniature troops and military vehicles, as ships as well, maybe you could post the pictures there. Thanks but I'm not really interested in that site. Those mirror image drawings hurt my bra...

What the hell is it with that GMLS with the funky looking left side that is used so often? I know it's on the USN sheet, but to my knowledge that thing just doesn't exist, and there is only one kind of GMLS. There may be internal differences, but AFIAK there aren't any external ones. I see that the...

And you would be wrong. They are the maximum dimensions for a missile to fit a standard Mk 13 GMLS as built and in service around the world. The Sea Dart Mk 13 onboard the South African Zambezi and Dutch Tromp class in my AU is different. The maximum diameter of the weapon is because that is the si...

I have doubts about south africa designing alternate versions of existing weapons and directors. There is quite a bit of history in my AU as to why South Africa has the Sea Dart. The main reason is in 1963 they signed up with the UK to help fund the development of the weapon. In the real world the ...

The spacing in the Mk-13 is so tight that you can not increase the missile body size to that degree and still get the same number of missiles in the same volume. Each missile cell in the Mk 13 is sized to accommodate a Tartar/Standard missile. The major issue in this footprint is not the missile di...

It will be interesting to see how this DDG progresses. Not sure the stern gun is a good idea, I'm not sure there would be enough room in the hull there for a decent magazine. I agree with the bow SAM position though. The red shade sections are for armaments and the entire aft lower deck is for 5" a...

That single arm Sea Dart launcher looks small, and i suggest moving the 76mm to the front/ rear The single arm launcher is the exact size of a Mk 13 in ship bucket scale (2 pixels per foot) and the guns are right where I need them to be. The primary reason for the Mk 13 launcher being at the bow is...
