Gidday AH
did you look at a version following the Brandenburgs layout with the middle turret aft of the second funnel.
Some mates and I did this as a design study a few years back and it did appear to offer advantages as well just having cleaner lines.

Many of the new thin film PV systems have very little weight in the absorption "panel" component of the system. If some of the spray on tech works out there will little weight at all. http://www.gizmag.com/new-method-cheap-spray-on-solar/35100/ but this is only 7% efficiency. While here our UNSW has...

Hey Kraka
I think you've left off the 40mm abreast of B turret!

With any multi layered armour, the layers must run in different direction to diffuse the impact forces. If everything lines up then weakspots are easier for force lines to propagate through. Its most easily seen in badly laid brick or stone work. Diagonal planking should theoretically run away from ...

Please keep us informed as to how the Buloke goes. Such an interesting timber having such hardness with only midrange density. Yes the Huon is hard to come by. Lot's of Apple Eaters tried plantations back in the 90's but not very successful and of course it really needs to be growing for 100 years p...

Oh come on, the most superior marine timber in the world is Huon Pine, absolutely exquisite and completely water and worm proof. Surely you've checked out every Tassie hull you can lay your eyes on. Man the glow they have when oiled, sheer bliss! The houses were around the Illawarra and Shoalhaven e...

Ah, I thought you must've had some chippy in you! Man, the stories your family could tell! I built pole and stone houses for a living back in the 80s. Felled the trees, portable milled them and then built the houses up in the hills. Such a privilege to be part of the whole process. I dredged this qu...

Up here we in NSW we'd use Swamp Mahogany and Turpentine for ocean durability. Further north Tallow wood is excellent. Both 11-1200 kg/cuM. Ive some 200 yo Swampy boards from an original settlers hut and the grain is as straight as a die. Turpy tends to be more twisty but I've split fence posts out ...

Gidday Rowdy
Your Hurricane would probably have cammed the Spitfire (pun intended).
So maybe the Supermarine Type 327 would have been produced instead.
http://www.shipbucket.com/forums/viewto ... 645#p35645
Now that would have been an amazing combination.
Any chance of seeing a 327 series?
