is it me, or does the gun tubes being lighter colour scheme than the rest of the ship? Other than that, its quite wacky design...in a good way;)

Yeah, learning all the tricks takes many drawings...Most of the mistakes you (and other newcomers) make are the exact mistakes I use to do back when I joined MConrads & co.

You need to draw the stern's hull upper edges on black not greenish brown. Same goes for the hull portholes, not grey surroundings, but black.
Also the hull shading could be done in more standardised way...

otherwise great work. It must have taken long time to drawn...
