A nice addition, one that has certainly been discussed a lot over at Secretprojects forum. During the last discussion there was some discussion if the chin intake would need enlarging to serve the Spey, although the later marks of A-7 seemed to manage ok. I took my cue directly from that discussion...

Oh how I wish I'd remembered this one for the last challenge. This is a Vought two-seater F-8 Crusader with a Spey turbofan, as proposed for the Royal Navy. Short Bros proposed the plane, would have redeveloped the front, and would have license produced it. The project was dead by 1964, and the Spey...

Hi all! From what I've read, Damen is one of the leading contenders for Germany's MKS-180 programme as well after TKMS's management of F-125 was considered proof that they suck at surface ships and should really concentrate on subs. There seems to be talk about the Dutch Navy selecting some TKMS su...

Looking forward to seeing what this challenge produces. ;)
I'm wondering how many people will actually use the SPG-59. Even the small one was a beast with huge power consumption.

I have more questions :? What will be the judging criteria for this challenge? I shamelessly cribbed from a former challenge, and have updated the OP. Will you recruit judges? I'll have to. Announcement also added to OP. Also I assume RIM-50B is out of the scope of this challenges? Just what's in t...

Thanks for this interesting challenge, I like how the rules are not strict and the radar is completely up to us. I wanna know a couple of things. Can we rebrand Typhon so as to fit the universe the ship is built? Are there strict service-entry date limits? I know the system was test fired in 1961, ...
