Neither of them, Kinugasa was sunk on 14 november 1942 by torpe and dive bombers from USS Enterprise (CV-6), Aoba was sunk at her moorings on july 28...

I Tried something by using a lighter shade for the boat keel in order to get some more contrast near the mooring post, you can see the modified version in Kinugasa's drawing, while i temporarily left Aoba unaltered for comparision; you think i'ts better? if not i will try with other solutions..

just a nitpicking, Alsace was actually on my worklist, but since you have already completed her while i have not even started to search reference or her is fine to you to go on (i mean it's not a problem); on the other hand you had mainly reworked Redhorse's Richelieu retaining at least the entire h...

The Funnels are not shown unfortunately. Here is Aoba in 1943. http://imageshack.us/a/img69/1462/caaoba1943templatexl2.png After suffering heavy damage during the battle of Cape Esperance in October 1942 the destroyed turret 3 of Aoba was plated over and replaced with a triple 25mm machine gun mount...

Also you could add tho the never-wheres section the Type A Heavy Cruiser (a 12-8inch-gun 8-unit class planned in 1941 but canceled at the start of WWII) and the Kai-Agano (or 810/5037) Light Cruiser (a never built 8 gun version of Agano), and mark them as "someone plans to do them"

Also search for pictures of the Yamato museum at Kure, there is a 1:10 scale model of the Yamato herself as she looked in 1945, probably the most accurate and reliable around.
