Yeah, but you have to realsitically say that the MOD has been spending a packet on the Falklands all these years since 1982 which probably by now adds up to a chunk of the spending all because of political bluster and the promise of riches beyond your wildest dreams via oil always just seemingly aro...

Agreed, A very interesting set of drawings, and two of them new to my knowledge. One wonders what else Golly has up his sleeve ready for us to see? All the aircraft complements can only be speculative, there just wasn't the kind of naval aircraft development as elsewhere during this period. It's not...

No,
There are few British missiles of note and all can be found on the missiles sheets. Saying that the launchers do need work and this will be done at some point.

A good start. No director was fitted, radar is Type 272 in a lantern on the mast (Bill's scan is of a later ship without the lantern and a different radar), IFF below that, HD/DF on the pole atop the mast. You can use the normal Shipbucket 20mm Oerlikon cannon (maybe Gunship's improved one with guns...

Very good progress indeed.
Jungle RAF choppers and Scimitars with 1,000lb bombs! Cool stuff, this is was carrier warfare is about. You can keep all your Supercarriers!
Great top-down views too, I've only ever done one and its not easy!

Well I had once consdiered drawing the Tiger but I felt the photos and plans available were so poor it would be nigh on impossible. I had to eyeball the 6in turrets trying to use the available online Tiger sources but it confirmed my opinon that doing the whole ship would be a nightmare. Bombhead ha...

Great stuff. We love all kinds of vessels from ocean going battlewagons to Admiral's launches. Anyting you wish to draw to fill out the real ships section of Shipbcket is more than welcome. The rule with helicopters is; display them above the ship if there is no hangar, one the helipad if there is a...

Great work, good looking ships with that 1950s charm of big auto guns and big radars. The last of the pre-minuturised electronics ships. A real trip down memory lane. Why they added those hideous hangars and helipads still confounds me. You can't really make an ASW cruiser label stick to something t...
