Below is my new upload: OD type submarine chaser (this particular is ORP Śmiały). 12 such boats were obtained by Polish Navy from the Soviet Union in the 1946 and they served until 1960. I must admit, that I'm not fully content with this drawing. Besides windows on the superstructure (but I don't th...

Thank You all for Your encouraging comments and compliments. :) Hood - I'd say that it actually takes more skill to draw a major ship (but maybe that's just my subjective view). I started with minor vessels in order to get some experience in the first place. Portsmouth Bill - Templates and railings ...

It's a pure awesomeness! Pity the CVA-01 never become "real". RN's and RAF's decline post-1945 is such a sad story. :(

Some small coastal combattants of the post-1945 Polish Navy and Coast Guard. I hope that over time I'll add more of them here. (No guarantees, though ;) ) ST-81 and ST-82 torpedo boats of the D-3 type. These two (slightly different) ships were obtained in 1946 from the Soviet Union and for the next ...

Yes, brigade remained "mechanized", but it's battalions not.
And note that unit name-changing was generally rather frequent in our armed forces in the last 20 years (well, could be said that 65 years).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but for example 17 Mechanized Brigade used to be BWP (tracked IFV) unit with "Mechanized" Bn's and now it's KTO unit with "Motorized" Bn's. (change not just by unit type, but by the name itself)

Green border of the flag means it's a flag of the Border Guard. As for their location: Decree of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration from 29th of july 1998 about flag and marking of ships and aircraft of the Border Guard, appendix 2. http://www.abc.com.pl/serwis/gfx/318768866_0.gif T...

Great stuff!
I haven't noticed earlier that units equipped with KTO Rosomak were renamed from Mechanized (Zmechanizowany/a) to Motorized (Zmotoryzowany/a). Don't really know why they needed it, but our MoD just seems to love to constantly rename units.

Gollevainen - Oh, wow! Thank You very much! Hood - Thank You for such a high score. :) As for the bilge keels, I admit it - my error. Now I've added them. As an explanation I can only say, that sources available to me differed about it - some didn't mention them at all, some said that one version ha...

Acelanceloet - I assumed that if it's on the front page then it's ok. ;)

I hope it's better now. :)
