Almost a pity MKS 180 will not be built to that design. Nor to any other one. Politics will make sure that the F123 will be retired without replacement. Alternative yacht idea, much more freedom: This is the Christina O, which once belonged to Aristotle Onassis. She's one of THE classic motor yachts. https://www.sea-seacharters.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/CHRISTINA-O-1.jpg She also served in WWII as HMCS Stormont, a River class frigate. http://ww...

How about something radically different, yet still with that shipbucket swagger? Ahem. "Greetings designer, and welcome to the yacht design studio of Schipp and Bucket (It's pronounced "Bouquet")! Our client for today has given us the following brief: To design a monohull motor yacht for his private...

The MKS 180 is based upon an earlier Damen design, the Omega, for an Indonesian frigate. Check out the side view of that here: http://www.shipbucket.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8397&start=20 And you can see that there's a few minor differences, especially in the shape of the aft stack/mast (Mack). There are two, which I did when I drew the Montana some years ago. One is the enlarged 5/38 lookalike Dalamace used. The other one is based on the real 5/54 singles of the USS midway and its the one I've posted.
Ah, right, missed your post on the previous page.
