a little bonus: Here is IJN tone as initially designed, with 4 triple 6-inch guns on the forecastle, with japan withdrawal from treaty limitations the ships was quickly redesigned and the barbette reworked to house Type 3 8-inch turrets without the need to modify them like it was done on Mogami. htt...

oh my.. and what's the reason for that thing? i know the funnels where raised in order to clear the smoke better, but i've never seen the forward stack fitted like that before.

anyway that's definitely a strong candidate for a 1928 Kako drawing.

Furutaka 1926: Designed as a scout cruiser and influenced by the british Hawkins the Furutaka class comes out as an heavy cruiser armed with 6 single 7.9-inch (200mm) guns and four single 3.1-inch (80mm) guns, the armament was completed with the addition of three fixed twin sets of torpedo tubes on ...

Apdaf, what you should have with that hull and a more plausible block coefficent of 0,65 is a displacement of about 27.900 tons, if you want the 35.000 rtns figure i suggest you to lenghten the battleship to 255 meters, whithout obviously enlarging the belt or you'll find yourself in the same situat...

I do not think that the Washington treaty is in any way related to what KHT is talking about, the point is that an armour belt 900mm thick so long and with that height it would weigh so much onto the hull that you could have structural and strenght issues, other than not having anough displacement a...

You can do if you want, tough i do not know what her dimensions where supposed to be, so it's not possible to scale the drawing yet.

i just noticed you had the winch/capstan on the bow forward of the anchors, i suggest you to put it aft because like that it will not work. the older single trunked funnel looked good to me, so you can either stick with it or with the new ones, your choice obviously.
