Oh, I meant no insult to anyone. I hope you did not take it as such MitcheLL300?!? What's wrong, you ask. That may be the wrong question to ask, since it presumes that either one of you or one in particular were in the wrong with their drawings. Now, although I've only quite recently discovered the ...

Sorry, Golly, as a native Finn I ought to know. My only defence is that I wrote my post very late in the evening! You're of course absolutely right! :D

I took some time comparing the two contesting drawings, and guess what? It's my belief that, by actually combining the two into one, we might arrive at the most accurate rendition of the LCF! Since MitcheLL300 is starting out with the Hr. Ms. Evertsen, and since MihoshiK has returned a general view ...

Didn't anyone notice that the Finnish Ensign needs to be a two-tongued one? All Scandinavian countries, together with the Baltic ones, including Germany and Poland have variants of either tripple- or two-tongued ensigns...

Thanks for that tip! I shifted through it and it is indeed a little gem!

Indeed Ooslefinch, that picture shows only one cutter. So true, however, what's not so self-evident is the adjacent boat stowage platform directly behind it! And, given the fact that the ship's boat complement did change, not only through the years, but even during certain operations I admit it can ...

I did not, in fact, notice the second Goalkeeper, so, both are then in a really bad, awkward position, indeed, my previous statement of potentiality of causing more harm to the ship itself rather than enemy goals, still stands. Also, since the US navy decommissioned its Talos program (and mind you -...

Regarding the ex-USS Springfield, it was a TERRIER -armed version, NOT Talos. Secondly, that system would be hopelessly outdated and in need of a replacement. Also the ship's radars would need serious upgrading. The goalkeeper has a hopelessly awkward position, risking to do more damage to the ship'...

One thing which is overlooked - and I readily admit, that it's my fault, from my super-detailling spree: the no 2 (aftmost) 5" /25 is partially obscured by the motor launch. I can fix it, but I'll not have time at all this weekend, due to my work schedule. But otherwise it's just great, really great!

Thumps up from me - but then I'm awfully biased... ;) :D Now we only need to do the Chicago (CA-29) and Augusta (CA-31) too, besides the non-fleet-flagship versions!
