This is going to be my last version of this thing since it's about time I finished up some real designs. Might come back to it much later, but for now this is final. Updated: http://i.imgur.com/dxKdmhB.png B-Side: http://i.imgur.com/lqtpki0.png Not a whole lot of changes, but tidied up some details ...

AU and personal design aren't loaded up to the archive. before we had an topic, where we added the real world drawings we wanted loaded up, then admin (Golly) would load it up at some time. But Colosseum and his friends are working on a new frontpage, with a totally different upload section. I just...

do he think that we automatically, will load up his drawing, for him!?! Actually this is something I've been meaning to ask, how should I go about getting something uploaded to the archive? This drawing is getting to the point that it's pretty much done save for a few small details, and I've alread...

Suprisingly there are acqually quite many of them in the archive. Mostly drawn by Novice a few years ago. Some might benefit from a refresh (i.e. update to the original drawing without the need of redoing them from scratch), others might need to be redone. The modern Akizuki had been drawn by Gunsh...

I wonder why no one has drawn them! Maybe it's time for me to start one then, if no one else is doing it. Should draw some real designs to offset the stupidity of this one anyway. What is the available width where your SSM launchers are sited? Is there enough to have the launchers firing outwards w...

I've replaced the torpedo tubes with the internal type, in pretty much the same position it was in before. http://i.imgur.com/bkk9NJx.png From what I can tell based on the pictures of the Akizuki-class I've seen, the tubes are not fixed in place like they are on some other ships. Instead, the tubes ...

you can build the torpedo into the hull, just like are done on modern warships. Basicly torpedo tubes behind hatch. Which ships? Atago-class destroyers I used as reference carry their torpedo tubes on their deck. EDIT: Nevermind, I know what you're talking about now. Found a video of the internally...

After some internal debate and mental gymnastics I decided to keep the forward VLS configuration and forward section the way they are currently, but reduce the centerline cells to tactical length. Strike length cells are only needed to carry the SM-3, and having 192 strike cells at the back is more ...

The lengthening of the forward section was due to a series of choices starting with an extremely basic, almost silly, starting point. On the reference image, there are three semi-vertical lines on the hull just forward of the bulge, and I had no clue why they were there. So I came up with a reason, ...

Frankly, I think I'd abandon the stretch, land the aft turret, and use the volume saved for VLS (probably with several feet of concrete in the bottom of the barbette for stability). Maybe sit the SSM box launchers above it, rather than several decks up where they're hard to get at. Heck, sit the VL...
