The battlecruiser Hindenburg was rebuildt in 1937 to a look like 'Scharnhorst'. Casemats were replaced by 15cm-twins, a catapult was installed on an aft turret roof. 10,5cm-aa-twins were installed and finally the directors including 'Seetakt'-radar. This is how 'Hindenburg' looked in 1938. http://im...

What is that on top of her superstructure? A Merry-go-Round??? - Awesome drawing though. Gives a whole new meaning to the term "superdetailed"! That round thing on top is the 'Panorama'-radar, I found a picture of it from an installation at Berlin. Not much further info found on the net but that pi...

The big CV 'Owald Boelcke' was launched at Wilhelmshafen yard in 1955. Designed as a counterpart to the 'Midway'- and 'Jinryu'-class carriers she was shorter than Jinryu but wider than Midway. Empty weight is 49.000 to. Unlike any other new carrier the Boelcke brought in some offensive weaponry. She...

I see as counterparts refitted Iwate or Nantai and Alaska CBs. Their 12" guns with sophisticated directors would easily outmatch even the rocket propelled ammo of the 6". If they can come close enough. First they'd have to deal with the Gungnir missiles.

The third batch and with six units the largest group was lenghtened slightly to give place for two additional A17M2-launchers beside the aft Tornado-launcher. With 'Von Boyen' new ECM-systems were introduced to counter the latest american and japanese improvements in missile guidance. All six ships ...

The second batch of the Friedrich class BCGs came with a new aft, the heli deck had changed place with 6" turret, the hanger was smaller and internal. Four launchers for the A17M2 were replaced by a twin Tornado-SAM-launcher. The 2nd batch had also its critics, the changed launchers would make the s...

The upcoming of japamese und US-supercruisers made the OKM believe, the Kriegsmarine would also need a superior cruiser. The Friedrich-class shows many features of the V-class CGs but has a once more improved hydrodynamic hull. Machinery is simply enlarged. The Friedrich-class BCGs are armed with im...

Nothing, just a fiction in a fiction. Finally I have some limits...

Supercarriers? Maybe a H44 hull converted to carrier, maybe something very new.

My time for drawing is lesser than I hoped.
