Very cool. Kind of a crappy helo capability for what should be considered a natural small-combatant helo platform. I understand that telescopic hangars always look better on paper than in practice, although that's certainly not a primary source. What's the top-down shape? I don't understand the forw...

It seems incredibly under-loaded (alternately, the hull seems HUEG for what you're shipping). Damned near an Atlanta hull, to my eye (I'm not on my drawing computer).

The vast majority of kills were by unguided weapons largely because, by the time guided weapons were ready, there wasn't much left to kill.

please consider the time era this ship sailed in. it was in WO2, where you had only bad aimed dumb bombs, non-guided torpedo's and grenades. and I suppose this ship is armored very well, which makes it a lot less vulnerable. Perhaps you should let the crew of the Roma know about your stunning histo...

I agree, with the proviso that if his navy already has Mk 41 in abundant service, I'd maybe go with the SSDS launcher for supply chain and maintenance commonality.


Note that Canadai's "navigation" set is actually Type 967/968, the Seawolf search/track pairing. Much in excess of what is needed here.

One is certainly more than enough for most tasks, sure. In the context of vosseij's "how much can I pack on" comment, though...

And honestly, if junkbusting is ALL YOU DO, all-around coverage and redundancy are nice things.
