Has anyone done a newer version of this? I did one forever ago, and I downloaded it thinking I could slide through and fix some stuff. *sigh* turns out my length was off by a considerable margin (Roughly 10 feet), so I'm also assuming that everything else is probably horrifically out of scale as wel...

Yeah does anyone know the reasoning behind different anti-fouling colors? I've always just used the non-red versions as "modernized" anti-fouling paints without really knowing the justification. ;) On the civilian boat market, probably just aesthetics.North Point Marine down the street is full of b...

I gotta say though the blue on a Tico looks really sharp. Too bad nobody but the fish can see it.

I've seen pictures of blue anti-fouling paint on the USS Port Royal, and a quick google search shows that they come in a surprisingly (for my uneducated self anyways) number of colors.

..but isn't that what the LCS was supposed to be?
Is being like the LCS really a good argument for being a good idea?
My opinions of the LCS program are not very flattering. I would say trying to be like LCS is not a good argument for anything...other than maybe wasting steel and money.

I'm seeing a lot of CODOG and CODAG, and most frigates averaging about 29 knots. That would work...I think a full COGAG arrangement might fit, pushing this thing up into the 32+ knots range, but the fuel capacity would suffer, hurting the ship's range.

CODOG or CODAG would probably be best.

I used the screw of the really old "equipment" sheet I found. I'll find a better, more up to date screw and put it on there. As far as propulsion, I was thinking either straight gas turbines (Drawing as shown has 2 shafts, so one turbine per shaft) or CODOG. I feel like a pair of LM2500s is finding ...

Something tells me the same conversation is probably taking place in Whitehall. I don't think you can blur the lines between OPV/corvette and light frigate and still have something battleworthy and capable of adequate self-defence, let alone offensive action. Maybe focus on special forces insertion...
