The Eppleton Hall was built in 1914 as part of a rather large fleet of Tyne Built paddle wheel tugs. Today it is one of two survivors* and resides at the San Francisco Maritime Museum's Hyde Street Pier where it was restored to it's post 1946 appearance. http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/af282/cra...

Gollevainen, Careful what you wish for... When you see green text, you obey, and if you ever see blue, you pray and sacrifice your daughters to tame me 8-) My teen daughter's brilliant beyond her years, and can be a bossy, opinionated, stubborn little be-otch. Don't tempt me to do everything in bold...

A few months ago when I first started looking at Shipbucket drawing as a time-burning distraction I'd just been out on The Bay watching Oracle practicing with their new toy....so, my second entry to this site. http://i1016.photobucket.com/albums/af282/craigh666/AC%2072/AC72TeamOracle_zps0cf58aff.gif...

Timothy, Oops. I'll not use blue again and it's not a minor aside. Old habit I'll have to break for when I need something contrasty for questions. Thiel, Corel: the native .cdr. Paint: the native .PNG I ran into a weird transformation, a half-toning with all sorts of spurious colors added when I sav...

Mental note to self: Don't use graded fills from now on OR, toggle fewer colors to fill. The mess is primarily due to the way I did graded shading on the original artwork. I went for a fairly high number of color steps, incrementally shifting from dark to light sail and hull colors. What didn't show...

I've added a bit more hull definition, I've been looking for pixels that are the wrong colors, did a trial with more rigging, etc. I burned time messin...

Thanks all for the suggestions so far! It’s interesting to see the different viewpoints as to what is and isn’t acceptable here for submittals. It got me pursuing shading that has been accepted in the Real Designs section of Shipbucket so I burned time to look for examples to emulate and adapt for h...
