Just want to clarify, in case someone misunderstood: I do think DP:s drawings are in master-class. I have a special affinity for the Victorian era and its usually quite bizarre, but at the same time wonderfully innovative, almost Jules Vernesque ships' designs. So, any criticism or suggestions on my...

Wonderful drawings, on par with the "Rolling Ressies" done earlier. May I just, though be a party pooper and point out a few eeny-teeny errors on the otherwise attractive Victoria: The forwardpilot house and aft secondary pilot house have too small, that is, too 'square' windows. One obvious way and...

YES! Finally! I had to actually convert the Albany to the Chicago, so your work on this ship is greatly appreciated. I happen to know quite a bit about her, so if you're running into any probs with the drawing, you may holler me and I'd be happy to lend you whatever assistance I can. These tall mack...

Could you possibly draw the more modern Polish ferries that's in traffic betwix Ystad (Sweden) and Gdansk (Poland)? And how 'bout the famous M/S Malmöhus??? Just asking??? Actually, if you don't mind, do all the famed Swedish/Finnish ferries ('Baltic Ocean liners') of the Silja Line and Viking Line?...

Ok, ace, I'm not sure I know which hull you're referring too. I've done extensive research, though, into the proper u/w hullforms of a number of modern warships classes (the Tromp-class DDG:s, the Type 22s etc), and I know the Tribals doesn't have their (retractable) sonar dome that far towards the ...

Two things that comes to my mind for objection: The sonar dome (retractable?) is positioned too far ahead towards the bows. A better position would be just immediately aft of the 'A'-gun position. The aft floatplane looks spurious and would probably cause the ship to pitch quite uncomfortably in cho...

erik_t, I'm not quite sure I followed your entire reasoning, but it appears we're in agreement: money matters - a lot! :)

Question to klagldsf: What is a Sprucan ??? I suppose you refer to 8-) Spruance . Let's keep the names in their correct form, shall we?!? - But you're right about the possible service life of the ships in question. One thing TimothyC didn't address although acknowledging that these are interesting q...

Ok, hang on here, guys! Let's see when these ships (number tally unknown!?) were to be commissioned. The Spruances were all commissioned during the mid- to late seventies, and they've all gone. Those ships were so much more capable than this proposed design would've been, so it begs the very serious...
