The stern of the Gulflander is based on the actual Edison Chouest OSV, in this case the Kellie Chouest. The stern has a platform aft that lowers to be able to launch watercraft from the stern. I agree that it looks weird as hell, but that's the way it's depicted in the general arrangement drawing. A...

Wish I had time to come up with a detailed back story. The Schlemmer Flugzeugwerk Sc38 Fledermaus (Bat) was a light fighter intended to replace the He-162 in Luftwaffe service. While the Sc38 was not successful, it led to the development of the Sc138A Vampirfledermaus (Vampire Bat) zerstorer and Sc1...

I don't think there's any "might" about me losing. There are some absolutely awesome artists on this site. I probably shouldn't have sent the T-JPH in as early as I did. Live and learn, and hopefully I can get better as time goes on.

Thanks. I don't think I have the leading particulars for all the ship's. I think I'll do that as time permits.

Ro-Po, I disagree, my friend. Those ships were scaled from AutoCAD general arrangement drawings. I don't need "hundreds of photographs" to guess the size and location of something when I know with 100% certainty how large something is and how many pixels aft of the bow it is.

Thanks Timothy. This was fun for me. All these designs got floated around, and then the project got cancelled due to cost. There's some CGI renderings, but not for all of them. It was cool to see what they might have looked like.

They would have been civilian crewed for the operations of the ship, but obviously lots of military onboard.
