Ships painted in Measure 1 should be all dark grey from the funnel tops and down. Yours is still light grey, with the exception of the turrets. There were experimental measueres 1a through c, but they all used blue instead of dark grey. Karle, See the link below: http://www.shipcamouflage.com/measu...

What's with New Hampshire's strange black-turreted paint job? Here are the details for the Measure 1 scheme http://www.shipcamouflage.com/measure_1.htm Vertical Surfaces: All approximately vertical surfaces above the top of the stacks shall be painted Light Gray 5-L. Horizontal Surfaces: All horizo...

New Hampshire-Class Battleships The basic assumption of this thread is that the terms of the Washington Naval Treaty failed to be agreed upon. As such the South Dakota-class battleships were never cancelled and in fact was followed by the four New Hampshire-class battleships, behemoth dreadnoughts h...

The New York class of battleship was a class of ships designed and constructed by the United States Navy between 1908 and 1914. The two ships of the class, New York and Texas, each saw extensive service beginning in the occupation of Veracruz, World War I, and World War II. Designed as a more heavil...

@David Latuch All your top-views wrong for the sided-casemate gun (visually, the most "worst one" was the much forward mount near the bow  ) Okay, so I took Colombamikes critique to heart and added the gun barrels to the 5”/51cal secondary on the plan view and added a few more details, especi...

The Florida-class battleships of the United States Navy comprised two ships: Florida and Utah. Launched in 1910 and 1909 respectively and commissioned in 1911, they were slightly larger than the preceding Delaware class design but were otherwise very similar. This was the first US battleship class i...

I'd hate to rain on your parade but the bridge on the 1920 is too boxy. The top slopes inwards, whilst the rear slopes outwards. There is also an edge on top that sticks slightly out to the sides. Nice work, but again maybe the details are a little rushed? For example you have both old and new style portholes still. Other than that these look good to me (but I'm no USN expert so can't comment on detail fits). The portholes in the superstructure were larger than those in the hull. https://i.i...
