I do wonder how wide the tail would have to be (or how fat the vertical tails) to give enough stability when floating at low speed. I also wonder how you solve the issue of the tail increasing in drag in the water when the aircraft speeds up and the main wing starts gathering lift, lifting the nose ...

Most of the important parts used are on the wiki. For finding what they are and how they work and where and when used, look at real ships (both the drawings and the real life ships)

Due to the economic crisis, the Dutch shipyard De Schelde decided to work in development on other sources of income then just shipbuilding. To do so, they bought the equipment from the newly bankrupt Dutch aircraft manufacturer Pander, including part of the staff. With this new potential, it was dec...

Need a 747-800. The 747 Drawings on the Wiki are really blurry when downloaded.
are you sure you downloaded the full size image from the wiki? the file on the wiki are fine for me. Sometimes you need to click one time more due to the image being a preview and not the full size image yet.

Well, I have to admit I am a tad disappointed by my challenge results this round. I definitely didn't expect to win, but I also didn't think I'd be far down the bottom half on design quality. Anyway, congratulation to everyone entering. A supercarrier is a daunting task, as proven by the low amount ...

With the construction of CVA-58, aircraft carrier development had reached a new milestone: the supercarrier. The new class of 4 ships, named after the Lexington class battlecruisers (although the name Lexington itself was already taken by an Essex class carrier) were a series of flush deck aircraft ...
