As I understand it, the problem is that the "light cruiser" role is basically a single role. By 1930 there's wasn't (yet) an AA gunboat role, nobody in 1930 - not even the IJN, as I recall - knew how devastating aircraft could be, so the main difference I'm aware of would be fitting with ASDIC or no...

Hey Ethan,

Co-incidentally, that's exactly what I suggested to Colo as well! Does this one count as "great minds think alike", do you think, or "fools seldom differ"? ;)

Eh, as has been said (to many, over the years, I suspect) it's possible to do it "right" - lazer's being the prime example if this - but personally, I'd recommend starting with something smaller and easier. Which leaves you with just about *everything* ;)

Hi Colo, As I'm sure I've stated elsewhere, I am a bit of a wiki noob, but one thing I have read of is the ability to block an account or class of accounts from making edits entirely or rate-limiting them ... could default users be stuck in "can't edit" until such time as they get bumped up to a hig...

Yeah, it's a bit like the Ghurkha thing ... Just do the decent thing, these people have put their lives on the line for us, if for no other reason than prudence (though there are many more besides) look after them to ensure that others will be happy to do so in the future...

Also note that of the big gun forward uses different shells to the big gun aft what are you supposed to do if you run out of shells for the forward gun?

Note that there any several problems with this arrangement, but this is normally considered the biggest problem of the lot.

Hi Nige, Well, you could actually go IRL - from Wiki: As some had feared, the secret of the magneton was almost immediately lost to the Germans. On its second use during the raid on Cologne on the night of 2/3 February, shortly after crossing the coast one of the Stirlings carrying H2S was shot down...

Hi K, I'd thought that without working out how to make cavity magnetrons (the Germans, unaware of this invention, used klystrons throughout the war, limiting them to longer wavelengths and lower transmitted power) that Axis radars simply could not be as good as Allied stuff once centimetric radar wa...

Hi all,

I'm seeing a bit of spam on the wiki, and I've made some mistakes myself ... is there an easy way to flag pages for review and deletion?

(I have no interest in being the arbiter of what should and shouldn't be on the wiki but figure I can help if needed)
