I agree with the donation system. I admit I usually avoid such buttons most of the time, but I've been known to donate for things I believe in (I believe in you bucket!). Maybe something like Patreon could work? There's probably a lot to be said about this and surely a convenient system will be foun...

Not sure Peppe, I can see them fine. The image host changed something in between the first batch of 3 images and the second one of 2 images, but it can't be it because you can't see 2 out of 3 from the 1st batch. Here, have the direct links and see if they work: https://my.mixtape.moe/whveqa.png htt...

@reytuerto, you've drawn these already? Please do let me take a look! Before I started all of this I searched the site to make sure nobody had done em, and (rather predictably) I found nothing, only the unrelated attack transport, but if you've had a take at them I'd very much like to see. I appreci...

Allright, last two in the series posted and available on the OP! Thanks everyone for your comments, I am exceedingly glad that the drawings are up to standard. @Garlicdesign I appreciate you going out of your way to help. As it turns out I've got that pic as well, but your comment on it does give me...

Well, this was far harder than I thought it would be. Who would have thought that choosing an obscure class with scant few references, no reliable plans or drawings, terrible grainy black and white photos and just one cursed picture showing the underwater hull (from the front!) would make for a daun...

Thanks to everyone still paying attention to this, I feel we're almost done. I keep making that mistake with the belt :( must've tweaked the engine slider and forgot to re-check for length. The one on the front page is spot on though! Anyways, those are mostly there to show how I went about deciding...

Like I said yesterday, I'm posting the latest updated SS report plus reports for two alternatives I had done while designing this ship (updated with new knowledge and brought to imperial measurements) and on Keisser's suggestion, a 4xII lightly armoured version of the original proposal (the 5xI one)...

Allright! Thanks to your help, it seems our Furutaka-like device has come closer to being ready to hunt some Empire State convoys! I redid the drawing as you can see in the first post, taking into consideration your recent imput: - Made the turrets smaller (again), lowered the position of B turret a...

Shipbucket spoke, and I listened. I went back to Springsharp and indeed I was missing quite a bit of belt! I had to reduce the belts from 146 to 140mm, also reduced the barbette armour a bit, and in doing so increased range to 7500 nm. Nowhere near Panzerschiffe territory, but I don't think she need...

Many thanks for the compliment! Now, while I'll try to defend my rationale here, I am very eager to learn from discussion, so I'll just point out how my thought process went. First, experience dictates that one should design a ship for a requirement and not the other way around, but I really really ...
