A nightmare to figure out what to do with their superstructure. Each ship had a somewhat different one, plus they were upgraded many times till ww1. I choose SMS Kaiser Barbarossa before her later upgrades, cause it was the only one with good photos from that particular period. http://img577.imagesh...

Well, I thought that it might be that he meant that sort of bussiness, the placing rather than historical accurancy of the flag. Cause they are actually quite different from weimar-republic's ensign, and I doubled checked it, coupled with the fact that his comment was barely intelligible. I'll edit ...

In the other thread problems were reported with the guns and shading that failed to be pointed out here, so I fixed them

I fixed the turret accordingly, but I have to say for the record that this shading is wrong in real life. I have checked it with my Iron Duke model 1/600, as with my rest of the scale models around here but I will not carry this argument further, since this is SB. http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/...

People ask me about the stern turret again and again.
There is superstructure infront of it much wider than the turret. When I light it up it seems that something is amiss
We'll sort this out, next ship is Kaiser Friedrich III class pre dreadnought, my usual subject.

Max length 146,1 meters precisely. That is rather odd. As for the guns, 1 pixel is too small and our fellow forumers bash me every time I draw anything that is 2 pixels wide, especially if it is black, so I am not allowed.

I made Westfalen instead of Nassau, cause I could find better pics of its crest and number of rings on the funnels. We'll resolve the flag issue in the other thread. Most pics show them with anti-topredo nets hanging so there you are. It also took me two hours to find out where the 8 of the 16 88mm ...

The speed is not unrealistic at all, French destroyer Fantasque could reach briefly 45 knots (!) but on the other hand she had no armor and very light armament http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/f2/Fantasque.jpg/300px-Fantasque.jpg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Fantasque_%281935...

Dear ReiAyanami! A very powerful and competent illustration you've got there! However, the ovearll impression is severely marred by one very obvious (or so it should be!) mismatch: FLAGS, FLAGS, FLAGS! Your ship is flying above the Kaiserlische Reichskriegsflagge, also the ensign used in 1933-35, b...

Beatiful drawing. Strange, the paper model on the net and the illustrations show the funnel yellow. And btw why don't they raise it anyway?
