I like those a lot better Hood, you realise all the work you are creating for me to go back through and update the parts. :) (not that I mind to get a more realistic 'feel' to the ship). I am sorry we don't have the ability to show the 'blunderbuss' muzzles which were an instant recognition feature ...

Thank you Hood, I looked at that turret placement and was not happy with it, I will alter it through dropbox which will update the drawing for me. Just an aside for people. Full Load displacement is the ship with absolutely everything aboard and maxed out, fuel, water, ammunition, provisions (and ev...

Sorry Adam I do not use Springsharp as I am very wary of the results it gives. The 10,000 is average for the time and size of ship, Strasbourg 8,000, Alaska 12,000, Renown 7,500. That will probably be the only drawing that I do for this one, unless I get the urge to do an overhead for it. If somebod...

Since these ships appear to be popular, I'll try one more. I've taken aboard peoples comments on the various types of armament that I have used on my ships. On this one the 12" guns are in a 'slab' turret cannibalised from the 14" twin on the RN parts sheet. The 4.5" is in the same turret but I have...

You have done a good job depicting these wonderful looking ships. Somehow the later French BC/BB's just had 'style'. Who said warships have to be ugly to be good.

I would note that all of Hoods drawings of Repulse & Renown in the RL Archive are of their WW2 versions, none of their as built versions seem to be around, unless I have missed something.

Thank you Fred,
The original design was meant to act with the landing support ships where this ships big guns could be used for cover fire for the troops. Long range fire support and AA would be covered by the VLS system and what is loaded in the tubes.

Thank you Miho, I do try to add value where I can, the twin 6" from the Nelson and its overhead, I added to the parts sheet. My 2pdr guns are still WIP, as others have found drawing to that scale is difficuilt for the smaller weaponry getting decent photos/drawings to scale the parts from is not alw...

I would like to nominate Colos' Alaska series. The amount of work he has put into these drawings is phenomenal

Bombhead - that is a challenge I would fail, and I know it, and have said so in my other drawings (although I do have to draw and design most of the hulls and parts for the top down views as they are not available to cut and paste). We (kitbashers) may be second class citizens but we deserve better ...
