Great info Lazer One!
Two questions:
1. Did she make the passage?
2. What was her fate?

(yes I know I can wiki-it but I'm lazy, catching up with the forum, and might forget. So I may as well ask the SME)

She did one of the two scheduled passage and carried back one oil drum: the tank were filled with water to avoid any pollution risks.
About her fate I am not sure but I guess that was dismantled.

Scrapped in China in 1987 after being blown aground by a typhoon in South Korea. She only did one trip through the NW Passage, second one was apparently blocked by ice and then Canadian concerns about sovereignty and the environment ended the effort and they built the Alaskan Pipeline instead.
