IJN Ōyodo was the only ship of her class. Originally designed as a submarine flotilla leader she was kept out of combat and used as a command ship.

As built:

By 1944 she was refitted with both new catapult and radar, her large hangars were turned into command quarters. 2 Aichi E13A1 "Jake" floatplanes replaced 6 faulty Kawanishi E15K1.

Good work but the hangar vents could do with some darker shading for the grills and around the vents themselves.

Very nice work on the Oyodo. Love to see more of the japanese navy.
