how was it on the top deck, when the weather started to be "funny"
It was very harry! Once during heavy seas north of Norway, a shipmate and I went up there and tied ourselves to the guide lines for about 5 minutes ‘till we were caught and sent below. Imagine being that high up and taking twenty plus degree rolls!

yeah North sea waves are sharp and high, No surprise was out there in one of the yearly winter storm, in the old Oslo class frigate... at speed. Not fun

Then you know what I mean. I was there for the yearly Nato wargames in the fall season.

I would say Fuso is a more stable ship, due to heavy weight far down, the pagoda mast is quite light, after what I understand it is just a thin shell structure giving weather protection
