Small Italian passenger and cargo ship for Mediterranean sea services of the Societa Nazionale dei Servizi Marittimi. this company was formed in 1910 when it bought the Mediterranean services of NGI. The company's life was short, as it lasted for only three years, when it went into liquidation and its fleet divided between three companies, one of which retained the flag and funnel markings, this being the Societa Italiana di Servizi Marittimi (SITMAR).
The ship below was newly built as Massaua in 1913.
