These three French designed and built patrol boats have been serving in Uruguayan Navy since 1981.

Thanks, everyone :)

Here's yet another small ship with big history. She was one of the FM class coastal minesweepers dozens of which were built in Germany during WW1. After the war the FM-13 was transferred to Romania. Named Socrates she served as a passenger steamer and a tugboat on the Danube river.

In 1941 she was bought back by Kriegsmarine and got converted to a river minelayer Xanten carrying 20 mines and armed with two 20mm guns. A year later she got modified again, this time to be a submarine chaser (Uboatjager). Armed with 88mm, 37mm and 20mm guns UJ-116 served in Black Sea where she sunk two Soviet submarines. In 1944 she was scuttled near Constanca after the Germans withdrew.

Lovely drawing of a fascinating little ship. You really do get an idea of how flexible some of these designs must have been to last a long time serving in so many roles they were never originally purposed for.
