I made Westfalen instead of Nassau, cause I could find better pics of its crest and number of rings on the funnels. We'll resolve the flag issue in the other thread. Most pics show them with anti-topredo nets hanging so there you are. It also took me two hours to find out where the 8 of the 16 88mm were on the ship which I couldn't spot, until I realised I had already draw them on the hull in small casemates....

Great drawing

- You are sure about the exact lenght....?...your drawing appear +/- small for my eyes
- Hmmm, "2 pixels" for the 88mm gun were largely sufficient :? (your 88 look more like a 100/105...)

Max length 146,1 meters precisely. That is rather odd. As for the guns, 1 pixel is too small and our fellow forumers bash me every time I draw anything that is 2 pixels wide, especially if it is black, so I am not allowed.

Guns in the 57mm-90mm range are one of the rare exceptions to the two-pixel rule.

your last turret has an small shading error: both sides are dark shaded ;)

People ask me about the stern turret again and again.
There is superstructure infront of it much wider than the turret. When I light it up it seems that something is amiss
We'll sort this out, next ship is Kaiser Friedrich III class pre dreadnought, my usual subject.

that has nothing to do with it. currently your turret has more or less this shape from the top, according to your drawing:

other then that, very good drawing, btw!

Yeah, the aft turret needs the shading fixed, but the rest are good.

A fine drawing of what was probably my very favorite of the first generation of dreadnaughts. Such a gloriously wasteful armament disposition, plus both a ram bow and a bow torpedo tube.

I fixed the turret accordingly, but I have to say for the record that this shading is wrong in real life.
I have checked it with my Iron Duke model 1/600, as with my rest of the scale models around here
but I will not carry this argument further, since this is SB.
