Really good start and I am really impressed. It has truly beautiful lines!

Justa few points

-the template is somewhat wrong in dimensions, a S1 template size from the main site should be fine

-the portholes look like they have no black outline, which they need

-shading is required on the superstructure

-the anchor is a bit too dark to make out, this might not need changing though

Other than these small points, I think you have made a excellent entry onto shipbucket!

Hey, thanks for the nice feedback. I found the template, the portholes on the hull do have black borders but it doesn't show up well against the dark blue, same for the anchor. I'll crack on with the shading on the superstructure. Any hints? I used a darker shade of cream under the deckheads but I guess it doesn't show up well.

Not bad but you really need to work on small details such as doors, lights, electronics, etc. You can find the equipment sheet with huge number of good examples here: http://shipbucket.com/images.php?dir=Pa ... ipment.png
Also the new and correct ShipBucket templates can be found here: http://shipbucket.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1243

Thanks for the tips... I've added a bit of shading, outlined the doors, flag etc...

Not a bad start but a few points:
1: You're using the wrong font. It depends on the program, but it's usually arial in 8-10px
2: Railings. On the parts sheet WhyMe linked you'll find a set of standard railings. Those should always be used.
3: For the sake of visibility I'd go for a lighter shade of blue on the Intuition. It may not be correct shade, but it'll make the drawing much nicer to look at.
4: Double black lines are a big no-no around here.

Yeah, the equipment list is excellent. I didn't think it would fit but shows what I know. Good idea about changing the hull colour. Not sure what I can do about the text format. It says ariel 14 and 10.

It's getting better.
All windows and portholes must be outlined in black.
There parts of superstructure not colored at all.
As for the text size Thiel is right, it depends on the program you're using. Just try to figure out how to make like exactly like on the templates.

What program do you use?
The text should be 10 pixels tall and the credits 7 pixels. In some programs this correlate with the sizes, but in others like mspaint it doesn't.
Also, you need to turn off anti-aliasing (Or clear type if you're using mspaint)
Currently the text looks like the first line when it should look like the second.

Until you figure out how to make that work, I've gone ahead and written it like it's supposed to look
