Long time coming since I just couldn't seem to find time to get this one done... I plan to do the later refits and then possibly the Juneau CLAAs.

Pre-war light grey Measure 3 scheme.

CL-51 as lost:

And in Shipbucket Standard grey because the above camo obscures many elements:

And Juneau:

Oakland class in late 1943:

And San Diego, a good example of a late-war fit for the survivors of the original four units. Note the Ms33/24d camo, the same scheme as RENO but with dull black substituted for 5-O Ocean Gray.

San Juan 1944:

Looks good. It's just asking for one of the proposed post-ware missile refits though :P.

Do I spy 1.1" aft?

Yes, during '41 they were fitted with 1.1" quads until the introduction of Bofors. I know for a fact that by 1942 they had 40mms in place of the quads.

Great drawing of one of the loveliest Cruisers.

I find it rather telling that, despite being explicitly AA cruisers, they were very light on light AA. Of course as Colo already noted light AA until '42 left something to be desired.

Didn't the USN still adhere to the fewer but bigger school of thought when it came to AA?
