I've got all her COs; I'm looking for other officers like XOs and such. The only XO I've ever found for her is Capt. Nomura Jiro (her XO at the time of Ten-Go).

Yamato as she looked when lost April 7, 1945 during Operation Ten Ichi Go (Heaven Number One). Two extra 25mm triples were added just behind #3 turret and her crane tower and rigging connected to it removed, likely to improve firing arcs. She had a large Chrysanthemum painted on her funnel in white for the operation and flew a samurai banner under her Battle flag reading Hi Ri Ho Ken Ten (Injustice Fairness Law Power Heaven). Sandbags and rolled mattresses were placed near gun positions to protect AA crews from splintering. I will post complete histories of Ten Go and the end of Yamato later...

This pretty much sums up the real world Yamato drawings, I may post a few more for looks. The Never Were and A-150s will be in a separate post. Thanks to everyone for the support.

For some good 3D looks of her superstructure:

For Photos of her throughout her life and from Ten Go:

And a clean and basic version of the last drawing for those who want it:

The drawings look beautiful, but I've heard from some that she carried cutters on her final voyage. I imagine they're where the lifeboats were stored, and not on deck where they could be turned into splinters by blast pressure from the big guns?
