It's really too bad that major navies have not saved historic ships.
Getting 20% or less of the construction cost for scrapping hardly
seems worth eliminating ships like HMS Dreadnought, or USS
Enterprise (CV-6). When I think of the wonderful museums
with the BB Mikasa, or the USS Olympia, or HMS Victory, or the
USN WWII ships that have been preserved, it makes me wish that
more historic ships were still here to be enjoyed.
