@Krakatoa: Almost forgot about your offer for drawings of the Aussie 'I'-class, i'd be happy if you could PM me them. The S-class is well documented in the www, and a very well drawn specimen is already in the archive, so I won't be needing that one. Thanks in advance.
@Seeker: Look on page one of this very thread. The Turkish order were no M-class units, but a much larger type with two additional 102mm guns. This became the Talisman-class.
But someone indeed ordered four M-class destroyers in Britain, which was the Greek government. These vessels were based on the Admiralty M-design, but easily distinguishable from their British sisters. They had a raised forefunnel, different funnel spacing, gun Q placed between the fist and second funnel rather than the second and third, additional superstructure aft, and a mainmast almost as high as the foremast. They had only the forward searchlight, the aft position was occupied by a single 40mm Pompom. The stern shape also seems to have been different according to Conway's and a rather crude Russian line drawing, but I'm not sure, all photographs I found show only forward views. They were to be named for Greek Islands - Kriti, Lesvos, Samos and Chios - but received names of creatures from Greek mythology starting with the letter M in British service, becoming HMS Medea, Medusa, Melpomene and Melampus. One was lost in an accident in 1916, the rest were scrapped in 1921.
