Greetings!

Here is HMS Colossus as she commissioned in 1911:

Please note I've intentionally omitted the forward boat davits in order to illustrate the arrangement of the secondary 4" gun battery.

Comments are welcome.

Cheers!

I personally think the colour you used for the hull shading is a bit dark, and I am not certain you shaped the shading above the skeg right..... nice work otherwise!

Here is HMS Hercules as she appeared in 1912 with heightened forward funnel and the boat davits both ships carried at the time:

Nice work.
I do share Ace's comment though that the anti-fouling paint might be a little too garish!

Greetings!

While I'm over working on the War of the Americas Reboot, I thought I'd post a question...

First off, thank you all for the comments and suggestions - they have been, and continue to be, very helpful.

To that end, a couple of you have mentioned that the colors for the hull of both the Colossus class and HMS Neptune images is too dark. Could anyone point me to a more accurate color scheme? Color photos of these ships are non-existent so any help would be welcome. My goal is to make these images as accurate as possible.

Thanks again!

they are talking about the shading color is to dark. there is many ways to do it, for example here is one with a very soft shading:

remember you are shading for the hull form.

Sorry for the duplication!

I should have figured that Dropbox would update any links when overwritten with updated files.

Live and learn!

Cheers!
