Good morning, gentlemen!

In Spain Coastguard missions are fulfilled by 3 different services: The Navy (Armada), the maritime services of the Police (Guardia Civil) and Customs (Servicio de Vigilancia Aduanera), which were branches of the ministry of Defense, Interior, and Economy. Each service has its own air arm, but is frequently seen both GC and SVA large OPV operating with AE helicopters. Here is seen with the newly adquired Dauphin helicopter.


Here is the largest patrol vessel of the SVA, the good looking Fulmar.

Built by Gondan, is "cousin" of vessels of the Indonesian and Kenian Navies. Lightly armerd for its size, is used for interceptions of drug dealer vessels hundreds of miles far from the spanish coastline. Cheers.

Yes, Calis, is a very interesting color scheme, a low visibility blue. But over a plain white, it looks strikingly attractive!

Here comes the biggest OPV of Guardia Civil, the spanish militarized police. Rio Segura, also built by Gondan.

A boat with very good seakeaping capabilities, well suited for long patrols. Is lightly armed for its size, only Ma Deuce of MG42 machineguns. With a helipad capable of operating with medium size helicopters, with refueling capability but without hangar.
Credits: I tried to mimic (and it was hard! ;) ) Char´s details of the hoses and firefighting equipment. Thanks a lot for your excellent japanese frigate!

Good job again, excellent choice of ship, nice drawing, and thanks for the implicit praise :)
If anything, I do think the skeg should be depicted in the base red colour, and the shades around the ends of the bilge keel could extend forward and aft in a softer way.

A very nice version of Fulmar!! But i think that the scale is not correct (too small), isn’t it?

Hi, Toxic Loki: Yes, it looks little, because it is actually little! At least for me, this design is so attractive because it is small: only 61 mts! And it is rather fast for a OPV: almost 22 kts. The only "but" really found by me is that the machine gun is man operated, so exposed to the elements. About the drawing, I think that it is resized correctly. Cheers.

Here in Norway our OPV operate only from 16 knots to more than 20 knots... But then our OPV is quit large ships compared to that one. For example Nordkapp Class do more than 22 knots (105 meter ship) or Barentshav class.. classified!!!! But according to wiki over 20 knots (93.2 meter ship)
